This project involved recreating the graining on the twelve doors in the Deal Staircase from an 1815 scheme, mixing our own linseed oil paint according to traditional methods. The bronzing included no metallic pigment but was an umber glaze over an ochre ground. The bronzing glaze was made according to information from the paint analysis report. | ||
